Gents' Indoor Singles Competition
6 December 2025

The indoor short mat season extends from September to April. The fact that we can continue with friendly competition through the winter months keeps us off the streets and provides the perfect opportunity for socialising and looking out of the clubhouse window to see how the green is shaping up.

In addition to fixtures against local teams, we also arrange a series of internal competitions. The gentleman's singles championship was held in early December.

The competition was won by Neil with Garry taking second place.

Home Match vs Oundle
14 June 2025

The SBC team all agreed that our match against Oundle was a very enjoyable afternoon. Players from both sides were keeping a close eye on the scores as we neared the conclusion of the game. In the final end Oundle managed to pull back on their deficit meaning that the game ended in a 70-70 draw.

2024/25 Indoor Club Competitions Presentation Evening

We enjoyed great food and company at our Winter competitions presentation evening, held at The Dukes Arms, Woodford, on 3 May.

We are grateful to Kay for organising the evening, Barrie for arranging the various awards and especially to Rosemary our hard working Club Secretary for handing over the trophies to the various winners and runners up.
